I tried to write something poetic but apparently, inspiration does not come offhand.
Enter the third week of my holidays, and so far life is good. Working and playing, time does pass very quickly. Regrettable, as I am guilty of not utilising my seconds and minutes very well. How about not playing dota for the rest of the days? Don't we all?
Had a great night with family eating and spending time together at overtime autocity. My parents are cool people, not your typical parents. Makes me wonder how they were in their younger days. Makes me see my own youth with a skeptical point of view.
Is it an inevitable thing that distances between people grow wider and wider with the passing of time? If it is, what is causing it? For all the sermons and declarations of how important relationships between people are, we live mainly to sate our needs and wants; the rest is academic. Only when we are sated do we seek the people we left behind. Does that make us all filthy liars? Or are we mere helpless mortals trying to make a difference in life before it runs out?
We are helpless because it is sometimes not a question of choice, our choice. It is not a question of whether, but when. It will happen anyway, even the most devoted friend finds out eventually along the way. Does it follow, then, we seek for acceptance and love from the opposite sex after falling out?
For consolation purposes, it is personally preferable to view these changes and shifts as Nature's way of easing and squeezing. The statement that Nature actually helps men and women alike to pick their most compatible mates is both intriguing and axiomatic. Nevertheless it does sound like a pacifist's stand, like standing back and watch while trusting Nature to do her job similar to a trusted butler, without any conscious effort on part of the parties. It follows that a mixed approach is needed to make head and tail out of anything, however it is not so straightforward. It calls for an evaluation of how much, a question of degree, which varies among individuals who are themselves vessels of many factors playing important roles during decision time. It is not bizarre to find the most minute factor ultimately deciding the outcome; rather, it is odd to find one going through the businesses of life in a precise and mathematical manner. It may even be impossible and unnatural.
Hope that I turn and toss lesser tonight.
