lots about nothing

Another routine update of this blog, just to keep the dust from being too comfortable.

Hence the title.

Coincidentally, a slumbering and sleepy mind is allegedly best cured by a disturbance to its routine. In other words, out of the comfort zone.

It's been a while listening to Regina Spektor, and it was on the way to a Christian camp that she chanced upon us; at least, upon an unsuspecting me.

We are the company we keep, aren't we?

Covered the duty of care section, had nap after dinner, a walk under the moonlight with a bobbling Fang: a good life is bad for the middle class who, more often than not, are not modern.

How does one deal with shadows that had been? You know you've changed - for good or bad - when there is a tugging something in persons sharing that one common thread, which you noticed but could not quite identify. It's been, after all, quite some time. The idea of sleeping next to an almost complete stranger was unnerving enough to send me on to the floor.

It is always a fine thing to practise one's moral values and ethics in private, where they belong, and to carry them for social rounds.. Only when one wants to be something or someone else, does one flaunt his views about others, so as to be different and better in the eyes of his company.

Patience. A young man does not go far without this, and an old man loses his winnings without patience. Patience halts quick tongues and brings guilt when traversed upon. It bears a huge satisfaction when diligently waited upon.

Yet it is undesirable to be forever waiting on, and the first step is invariably the hardest.
