This should be the longest break I have had, no updates for what's left of this blog's readers, hah.
I have a few things to share:
- Youngest brother managed straight As in his final primary school exam, praise God!
- Games for the youth camp are in the final stage of preparation, gotta find some time to play it out, just in case.
- Gained a friend after a rather... hostile affair.
- Went to Burma Road Gospel Hall, but the real thing, namely its young people meeting is this Saturday, which I am going.
On the way back from this morning's family breakfast, Dad suddenly decided to show us 'something'. Turned out it was an extremely poor Indian kampung. We went into this building, a hut to us but a home to its inhabitants, and once again we saw poverty in the eye. The ugly side of any ideologies, of societal apathy, of our indifference. Gave them a few daily provisions, and we were given a warm farewell. The kids, 3 girls and 1 boy, held my mother's arm with sparkling happy eyes. A good experience for youngest brother, as his life has had been... showered with much blessings without him knowing it.
But still, poverty is a sting, and still very much so, in this society of ours. Poverty mocks ambitious and lucrative mega projects in the face. Unless we move forward together, Malaysians would only cry and kick into a new era, an unwilling infant.
So many pictures I want to show, but they are all in my laptop... until the next one. =]
