The song ended, but not the waves.

Inside her heart, she was sobbing.

Looking out of the sky made her lose her focus for a while. The azure firmament, the slightly hazy quality of air, the dreamy clouds floating by...they managed to soothe her thoughts and smother the pain.

But reality would not release her so readily.

She thought of many people. Some faces she could not recollect, others were vague, and certain ones strikingly painful and bright. She thought it a mockery to think of them now; most of them are not material, and are probably happily living their lives else where.

Her heart bleeds for those who used to care. They used to minister wisdom, and she would feel much better. They used to laugh aside toil and trouble, and eventually everything would be fine. They used to ...

It does matter because it doesn't matter anymore.

Bedeviling, stark and bleak. Reality would not have cared, as She relish in despair and sunder. She would love to see people torn asunder, feelings severed and mangled into nothingness. Torn emotional ligaments are her choicest trophies.

The best weapon is a smile. It need not be genuine, but the muscles and tissues can really make a difference.
