First-days are always one of the most anticipated point of one's career, if not the most.
Going into a posh building and further deeper into a quiet and uncertain office sure makes the morning a little brighter and louder. Familiar voices and strange faces. The sounds and sights of stirring movements. The always-impressive look of the boss despite being two hours late.
All of them telling of what to come and yet to come. I am only sure they are coming now.
I admit to feeling at home. I have little preferred the cacophonous world of adolescent banter and bargain, in a never-ending bid for acceptance and popularity. To put it all behind, limiting them to Facebook and Facebook only, even for a transient two months, feels like home. Stepping onto unknown adult turf got me singing, albeit in my head, in a distant resemblance of Justin Timberlake's humming 'every new beginning comes from some other beginnings' end' in FWB.
It is time to see college becoming collage. It is time for going to bed early and waking up to the light through the window. It is time to learn from the learned. It is time for my ego to be bruised by a deserving remark, just to see my good self on them toes.
This is time!
