The Most Excellent Way

Love is patient,
Love is kind.
Search your conscience,
There lies the line.

It does not envy,
It does not boast,
Even when you're savvy,
Give the enemy a toast.

It is not proud,
It is not rude.
Away with the cloud,
Strengthen the root.

It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love conquers a king,
Gives grace to the humbled,
The prettiest song of songs.

Love does not delight in evil,
But rejoices with the truth.
It always protects
Always trusts,
Always hopes,
Always perseveres...

*

The beautiful description of what 'Love' is in 1 Corinthians... but a high standard, nevertheless.

I should think no living mortal shall be able to achieve this standard. The important thing is to *try* and live to the standard, instead of inventing and introducing totally new concepts, which is what most people today are doing with disastrous results.

Love is patient,
Love is kind.
It does not envy,
It does not boast,
It is not proud.
It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
But rejoices with the truth.
It always protects
Always trusts,
Always hopes,
Always perseveres.

Corinthians 13:4 may seem like one of the most over quoted verses (testament to the endurance of the nature of its subject, perhaps?), but it still doesn't make its beauty any less :)

p/s: nice blog song at the moment, haha!
