My clean and outstanding car-driving history ended with a bump last night.
I did not see the lorry behind; it was very dark. I guess I was a little bit reckless too at that time, reversing so quickly. All was dark and a bump shook everyone in the car up.
The drive home had me cringing about the damage done. Dad was pretty upset about the incident too, lamenting and groaning. Zzzzz...
I took the car (amazing that he still lets me drive eh? ><) the next day to enquire about cost of repairs. Dad's reminder of 'oh it's gonna cost a fortune, at least a thousand' kept on ringing in my head as I drove around town.
'Huat Heng: Pusat Mengecat and Mengetuk Kereta' was the first one I tried. Interesting how they use the term 'mengetuk', which means 'knocking' for car repairs isn't it? The man was helpful and upon examining the damaged car's arse, declared that the repainting of the coat will cost about RM80, and the replacement of the broken lights about RM200 if original.
Yipee! Not exactly the occasion to celebrate, but at least it's not going to cost a fortune lar.
Dad's frown lightened up a little bit upon the news. :D
p/s: Go away la. I am a dangerous driver.
