Very often, this question is aimed at the ones you care about the most.
We want to love and be loved by people. We valued them in our hearts, but we are not very sure whether it is mutual. Hence this question popped up.
Some would rather not make it to this stage, as this question is often asked during heated arguements between two friends or couple. They would rather just go on with the relationship, until it's time to say goodbye. I don't think such people will ever taste the real meaning of a God-fearing relationship; or rather, they just missed God's gift for them.
It is important to know the weight of yourself in other people's heart. But this practice is quickly getting out of date here, in the midst of rapid development. A subtle one might detect all these via every single action and motion of outsiders like a small smile, etc; others might not be so cunning. This skill is fast turning into a necessity for survival in this modern age.
I'm sighing. Why and how people had make life complicated. Even the status on their Friendster account is on 'It's complicated' mode. Why can't we all hold hands and be friends? The older and more complicated ones will scorn at this seemingly incredulous request. Woe are such people, for they contribute to the complexity of this once-innocent world.
Just try and make life simple, will you? If everyone plays their part then perhaps this place would be a better place to live in. If you love someone shout it out loud. If you dislike something point it out courteously. If you're angry spit out the reason of it. And if we do all these, we can make a difference.
