It's past midnight now. But this is something different. Malaysia has grow another year older tonight.
Outside there, a few Indians gathered at the field, along with their pots and utensils. They are having a merry picnic, from what I can see. It's interesting, their way of celebrating, but still...
A horde of motorcyclists blasted by, armed with the Jalur Gemilang and the Penang's state flag. They sounded their trumpet-like horns with full force, with cries of 'Merdeka!' spiralling into my ear drums. Somehow, this ingenious way never attracted me. I'm sure we can celebrate this is a better way, don't you?
Nothing much here in downtown Nibong Tebal. No fireworks or stuff. But still, deep in my heart, I wished Malaysia, I mean, the New Malaysia, happy Merdeka's day!!!
